Stellantis has a major investment in U.S. manufacturing planned, and the company also says it has five new-model launches planned.
The stand-out part of the plan is the mid-size pickup truck that will likely emerge as a new Dakota, though I am also keeping my eye on the SUV that will be built alongside the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, with similar powertrain options. It almost certainly has to be a luxo-barge for Chrysler, right? Set to compete with the Lincoln Navigator and GMC Yukon?
I am a bit excited for the Dakota. I am more excited that Stellantis seems to have some sort of a plan to move forward — the company seems to be perpetually struggling.
What about you? What do you say?
